CURVED DOUBLE DGU for the project PANGU in Beijing (China) CRICURSA brings to WOCA a stunning curved glass façade concept based on its Crislan® curved DGU product line using Vanceva Colored interlayers. The project depicts the ideal teaming up/marriage of, on the one hand, the art of glass bending and, on the second hand, the highest technique in vacuum-bag lamination. The result is an once-in-a-lifetime diamond-like textured and coloured glass wall signed by Zaha Hadid Architects (London) that can be seen in more detail, within all its magnitude, opposite the Olympic Park in Beijing. Known as “Dragon Building”, this luxury hotel was built according to the principles of Feng Shui, that seek to bring prosperity and good fortune to its inhabitants. These, as well as life, wisdom, wealth, and royalty, are traditionally symbolized by the dragon. This is one of the reasons why this new façade for Pangu’s retailing reminds of, and is inspired in, the dragon’s skin, depicted with close to 1500 coloured slumped rhomboidal panels, from 391x258mm to 2858x2388mm.
